Welcome to the
Library!
We moved to our new location in May 2004. Students and
staff have been enjoying our spacious surroundings. With additional shelving
and more space we have room to grow.
The library currently has over
9,000 books with new books being added daily. We also have a large collection
of videos for use in the classroom. We have a fully automated checkout system
and students have access to an automated card catalog.
The goal of the
library is to help students develop a love of reading. Classes visit the
library weekly to check out and return books. Students in grades K-2 enjoy
story time each week in our new primary area. Students may also come to the
library independently to exchange books or do research. The library supports
the Accelerated Reader Program by coding all books by reading level. You can
find the current AR list on this web page.
Each year the library hosts
a book fair. Students and parents have the opportunity to purchase new books.
Profits from the book fairs are used to purchase new library materials.
The library is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and is staffed
by two full-time librarians and volunteers.
